Overview
SheetCuts ("we", "our", or "us") operates the SheetCuts Chrome extension. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What We Collect
When you sign in to SheetCuts, we collect:
- Your Google account email address
- Your Google account ID
This information is collected via Google OAuth and is used solely to manage your account and subscription status.
We also store your subscription and trial details (your plan, status, trial/renewal dates, and a Stripe customer identifier) so we can grant you access.
If you purchase a paid subscription, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card or payment details — those are handled entirely by Stripe and subject to their privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy).
We do not collect browsing data, spreadsheet content, or any information about the documents you work on.
How We Use Your Information
We use your email and Google ID to:
- Identify your account
- Track your free trial period
- Verify your subscription status
- Send transactional emails related to your subscription (e.g. payment receipts)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except as described below.
Data Storage
Your account information is stored securely in Supabase, a cloud database provider. Data is stored in the United States.
To keep the extension fast, your sign-in and subscription status are also cached locally in your browser (Chrome storage) on your own device. This local copy is removed when you uninstall the extension.
Third-Party Services
SheetCuts uses the following third-party services:
- Google OAuth — for sign-in (policies.google.com/privacy)
- Supabase — for account and subscription storage (supabase.com/privacy)
- Stripe — for payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
- Vercel — hosts our backend, which verifies your sign-in and subscription (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
SheetCuts' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your Rights
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at sheetcuts@gmail.com. Upon request, we will delete your record from our database and cancel any active subscription.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data under GDPR.
If you are a California resident, you have the right under the CCPA/CPRA to know what personal information we hold, to request its deletion, and to not have it sold — and we do not sell your personal information.
We retain your account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
